The Morning Of, Through My Eyes

There’s something really special about a wedding morning.

Not just the dress, the details, or the photos everyone sees later but the quiet moments in between. The deep breaths. The nervous excitement. Your mom watching you get ready. Your best friends laughing in matching pajamas while music plays in the background.

Those are the moments I truly love being part of.

When a bride books with me, I never want her to feel like she’s just another appointment on my calendar. I want her to feel taken care of from the very beginning. My goal is always to create a calm, comfortable experience where you can actually slow down and enjoy the morning you’ve waited so long for.

I know wedding mornings can feel overwhelming sometimes. Timelines shift. Emotions run high. There’s usually a little chaos somewhere in the room. That’s why I try to bring a sense of peace into the space while still making sure everyone feels beautiful, heard, and cared for.

For me, bridal hairstyling has never just been about curls or pins or making everything look “perfect.” It’s about creating a look that still feels like you when you look in the mirror.

I love when brides tell me they felt confident. Comfortable. Beautiful without feeling overdone. Those are always the moments that stay with me the most.

Some brides come to me wanting soft, romantic texture. Others love polished elegance or effortless waves. But no matter the style, my approach is always the same, listening first, paying attention to the little details, and creating something that photographs beautifully while still lasting through every hug, dance, and happy tear.

One of my favorite parts of the morning is usually the final touch. The veil going in. The moment everyone goes quiet for a second because it suddenly feels real. Those moments never get old for me.

I truly care about the experience just as much as the hairstyle itself.

And if you become an NKB bride, I hope what you remember most isn’t just how your hair looked but how you felt while getting ready for one of the biggest days of your life.

Warm, supported, relaxed, and fully yourself.
